Susan Walker lives in Upper Brailes, Warwickshire, near Stratford-upon-Avon. She holds a BA in English Literature and built a successful career in journalism and organisational communication. She then became a director and partner at MORI (now Ipsos), where she led the communication research practice for fifteen years.
Susan published a book: “Employee Engagement and Communication Research”, drawing on her professional experience. She has also written family history and research studies, speaking at international conferences including Europe, North America, and India. As an Accredited Business Communicator, the International Association of Business Communicators recognised her contribution with its Chairman’s Award for dedicated service.
Her participation in major literary festivals, including Oxford, demonstrates her commitment to the world of literature. She has served on working groups, such as the Magna Carta Anniversary Committee in 2015. Susan is a Freeman of the City of London and of the Worshipful Company of Stationers.
She is currently writing a book about her great aunt, Mary Ranken Jordan, who emigrated from Ireland to St. Louis, became a humanitarian, activist, and world traveller, and founded a renowned children’s hospital there. A member of PEN International, Susan has ties to the Ukrainian literary community and raises funds to provide much-needed books for children there.
